The Agile Project Leadership Network is a non-profit organization that is focused on connecting, developing and supporting great leaders. The founding members of APLN wrote the Declaration of Interdependence, which expresses the values that the group holds with respect to leading projects in today's chaotic world. The ALPN primary focus is providing ways for those great leaders to get together to share ideas and experiences about leading in an Agile manner. The main areas where contributions are targeted include:

  • Local Chapters – There are more than 36 local ALPN chapters around the world, and new groups are continually being formed. The ALPN is always looking for new ways to support the local chapters.
  • Leadership Summits – Leadership Summits have been held in Richmond, VA, Dallas, TX, Seattle, WA and there is one planned in Atlanta, GA later this year.
  • Leadership Wiki of Knowledge (LWOK) – The Leadership Wiki of Knowledge (LWOK) is a community-owned, evolving store of information about leading in an Agile manner. This Wiki is based on the belief that the community should make contributions to its own collective knowledge base. The LWOK can be found at www.lwok.org.

The Scrum Alliance is a nonprofit organization committed to delivering articles, resources, courses and events that will help Scrum users be successful. The Scrum Alliance's mission is to promote increased awareness and understanding of Scrum, provide resources to individuals and organizations using Scrum, and support the iterative improvement of the software development profession.

All funds donated through the VersionOne partnership program will go directly into the Scrum Alliance Scrum Training Scholarship Program. Funds are provided by the Scrum Alliance to subsidize Scrum training classes in low-income countries, student/academic discounts for Gatherings and certification/membership fees for low-income individuals. Over the past year the Scrum Alliance has set aside more than $25,000 to cover the cost of Scrum Class and Scrum Gathering attendance for individuals who meet the student, academic or income requirements.
