It's that time of year again. The 'State of Agile Development' Survey has been up for a week and will be completed this month. There has been tremendous response so far. All responses are anonymous and results will be released at Agile 2008 in Toronto. You can also choose to have the results emailed directly to you. In this presentation filmed during QCon London 2007, Joseph Pelrine talks about the challenges faced by organizations trying to adopt Agile methods. There are times when organizations fail to become agile, and Joseph offers some reasons why that happens. An important factor in Agile adoption is understanding and mitigating conflicts.

"We all know the three questions of Scrum: What did you do yesterday? What will you do today? What blocking issues do you have?

We all do our best to answer these questions. So how come so many of our initial demos turn up problems we didn't catch? Maybe it's because, at least at the beginning, we need to add a fourth question to our daily standups."

We try to limit the number of VersionOne "sales" messages in the Agile Chronicles newsletter but if something is free is it really a "sales message"?
