Growth in Agile Development Market Spurs 6,500 Square-Foot Expansion
ATLANTA – April 25, 2012 - VersionOne, recognized by agile practitioners as the leader in agile project management tools, today announced it has opened a new office in Midtown Atlanta to attract top software talent, support company growth and further its initiative to create green commute alternatives for employees. The new office, located at 620 Glen Iris Drive, operates as a satellite workplace and meeting space for Atlanta-based employees.
“We’ve experienced steady growth and a corresponding need for the city’s most talented software professionals,” said Robert Holler, co-founder and President, VersionOne. “There’s tremendous technical and creative talent to be found around Georgia Tech and surrounding areas. Our new Midtown office will give us an advantage in attracting those candidates while reducing travel and related costs for employees who live in or near downtown Atlanta.”
VersionOne’s new office comprises 6,500 square feet of space in the Ponce Springs Lofts, a mixed-use residential and business community. Adjacent to the Ponce de Leon Marketplace, the modern, open workspace is well suited to VersionOne’s agile development culture. The new office also supports VersionOne’s participation in the Georgia Clean Air Campaign to improve air quality and work-life balance for its employee base, which has grown from two to 100 in the last decade. In the first 60 days of this year, VersionOne employees logged a vehicle travel reduction of nearly 4,500 miles, eliminated 2.7 tons of CO2 emissions, and saved employees over $16,000 in fuel costs alone.
