What's In Our Latest Release?

View the What's New Video

In release 8.1, we’ve taken our extensive tracking and reporting capabilities to the next level adding two more industry firsts to V1: Agile Enterprise:  A fully customizable executive-level dashboard and an industry-unique testboard.  Each of these new features brings even greater visibility into the progress, status, and trending of software development initiatives.

In this release, we have also added Build Integration capabilities with CruiseControl.net to our portfolio of free, open source and 3rd party tool integrations that enable you to build a best-of-breed Agile ALM platform that meets your team’s needs at a minimal cost.

My Dashboard

My Dashboard is a one-stop reporting location that targets individuals responsible for multiple projects, releases and/or teams (i.e. ScrumMasters, Managers, Directors, etc).  All team members can customize the key metrics and reports they want to track for multiple projects and teams on a single page.

The top section of this report shows key metrics in a grid display and can be filtered to show a subset of the projects, releases, or teams for example.  The lower section of the page can be customized to hold various charts (i.e. Project Burndown, Sprint Burndown, etc) to monitor the progress of specific projects.  Not only can these charts be pinned to a specific project, but depending on the chart they can also be pinned to a specific sprint/iteration and/or team.  Even better, My Dashboard can be setup once and bookmarked for future reference, showing the most up-to-date data in the system every time the report is accessed.

Interactive Testboard

V1: Agile Enterprise now includes an innovative Testboard that presents a visual depiction of acceptance tests grouped by story and/or defect and by test status.  A simple drag-and-drop action marks a test as passed or failed, offering a single comprehensive view into the status of tests.

Testboard can also be used to show which team member has taken ownership of an open test and to track time or effort directly against tests. A user can highlight work assigned to a single team member so that each individual can more easily recall what work they've done and what is next up on their list or show team members tests that have no owner they can accept.

Build Integration

Our CruiseControl.NET build integration provides visibility into the stories and defects included in each build.  From a story perspective, build integration indicates which build contains work towards completing a story and which build contains the completed story.  From a defect perspective, build integration indicates the build where a defect is found and where the defect is fixed.   This visibility is exposed in a Build Contents report which shows a) which defects are fixed, b) which stories are complete and c) any new defects introduced, but not resolved.  This report is valuable for selecting a build to release and for creating release notes that summarize work completed for a release.
