"We selected VersionOne because we wanted a streamlined solution rather than a tool overly loaded with unnecessary features that we saw in other products. VersionOne has just the right mix of features and usability for tracking project status and team progress."

V1: Agile Enterprise supports the retrospective, an important agile process that helps to ensure continuous process improvement.

V1: Agile Enterprise Sprint Review

In a retrospective, the team evaluates the completed sprint or release to gauge the success of new practices and to understand what changes may be necessary to achieve even higher velocity, better quality, and greater efficiency. V1: Agile Enterprise helps teams capture this valuable feedback and use it to create goals that will address specific team-related needs to enhance communication and productivity moving forward.

Closing a Sprint, Release or Project

Once a sprint is completed, Agile teams need to determine what action to take on any uncompleted work. They may:

  • move the feature to the backlog and address it in a future sprint
  • move the feature to the next sprint
  • split the feature, where tasks completed in the current sprint contribute to the team's velocity, and the feature and remaining tasks are moved to the next sprint.

Regardless of which option is selected, once all items have been closed, moved forward, or split, the team can close the sprint and conduct a review for process improvement moving forward.

Retrospectives: Assessing the Success of a Sprint or Release

V1: Agile Enterprise can be used to guide sprint or release review and capture the important details of a retrospective meeting.

  • Creating stories from a review captures work that was identified to improve processes, potentially for completion in the next sprint.
  • Issues can also be identified during the meeting for the team to focus on in an upcoming sprint.
