Agile Development Management and Agile Project Management Tools

The Visibility You Need.

Although the team may have completed release planning, iteration scheduling, and begun coding, that doesn't mean they are finished with the plan or communicating with one another about the plan until final code completion. Under Agile development processes, teams are continuously evolving the plan, which requires constant communication with one another - and stakeholders - about where they are at any point in time relative to the goals they have set for the iteration or release.

To address this continual need for comprehensive visibility into the plan as development moves forward, V1: Agile Enterprise is designed with several critical data views into work estimates, actuals, and trends. Additionally, a wide variety of dashboards, reporting tools, and progress bars are available throughout the application to provide overall, in-line, or specific metrics and graphs at any point during development. Specifically V1: Agile Enterprise includes:

  • My Dashboard can be used as the one-stop reporting location for executives, directors, or other managers to gain a firm understanding of the key agile tracking indicators of their projects. My Dashboard achieves this over-arching view by letting managers customize reports and monitor the key metrics they choose for multiple projects and teams on a single page. Even better, My Dashboard can be setup once and bookmarked for future reference, showing the most up-to-date data in the system every time the report is accessed.

With My Dashboard, users can set up key metrics and add multiple instances of project, iteration, or team graphs in a single view. For example, anyone managing more than one product release can quickly view release burndowns at the individual and consolidated release level. Or, project managers overseeing multiple teams can view progress and To Dos for each team separately as well as the project overall. Additionally, graphs can be added and removed independently, or repositioned via drag and drop functionality

  • My Home is a configurable, portalized display that lets team members specify the projects, work items, data, metrics, and dashboards that are relevant to them. A wide variety of portlets such as owned projects, iterations, tasks, test, stories, defects, etc. can be added and filtered to fully customize the information being tracked and reported.

  • Over 50 Out-of-the-box Reports provide in-depth, single- or multi-level insight into the progress, status, and trends of projects, releases, iterations, teams, stories, defects, tests, issues, and requests. Reports such as project summary, scope change, detail estimate trend (estimates vs. actual), parking lot, and member load trend provide invaluable project insight to help keep projects on schedule and on budget.
