Need for Greater Business Agility

OPENLANE, the industry leader in providing online wholesale auction platforms for automotive OEMs, captive finance companies, banks, and dealers, has been a VersionOne customer since 2005. According to Jared Linley, the director of project management, “Our company takes pride in moving very quickly to respond to our customer’s dynamic needs. We needed an agile platform that could help us embrace agile and keep up with the pace of change as our business continued to grow and expand.”

An Agile ALM Platform that’s Easy to Use & Implement

OPENLANE selected the VersionOne enterprise agile ALM solution because it was easy to implement and use across all of their teams. Since the company started using VersionOne, they have expanded and now they have four geographically distributed development centers and ten technology stacks, each has its own development team. Currently, the teams are using Scrum, but as the company continues to grow and there is the need to manage multiple releases concurrently, the management team is starting to look at the different scaling frameworks.

“The VersionOne platform is critically important in helping us manage our releases and keep up with customer needs.”

Flexibility, Visibility, and Excellent Support

One of the major benefits of using VersionOne, has been the platform’s flexibility “We like the ability to customize our work flows and processes, label artifacts to fit our needs, and set up different access permissions,” said Linley.

In addition, VersionOne also gives OPENLANE managers the visibility they need to track daily progress and make sure they are optimizing capacity, resource utilization, and progress overall.

“The VersionOne platform is critically important in helping us manage our releases and keep up with customer needs,” said Linley. “It has been great working with the product and the excellent support team over the years.”
